Problems Downloading and Viewing PDFs

If you are downloading a corrupted file or are unable to open the PDF with your copy of Acrobat:

  1. check the MD5 checksum of the file you have downloaded (see Downloads)

MD5 Summer is a Windows MD5 generator you can use to check your download for accuracy. Compare the MD5 from your copy with the MD5 above. They should be the same. Google for 'md5' to find other MD5 generators.

  2. check size (see Downloads)

  3. clear cache on browser and reload a fresh copy

  4. upgrade Adobe Acrobat then try to reopen the file

  5. if using Internet Explorer, hold SHIFT key down and click on Reload to force the cache to be cleared and a fresh copy of the file or page to load.

  6. if the installation of Adobe Acrobat is corrupted, please reinstall or try opening the file on another PC. See Adobe product interoperability.
